ESG

Our Approach

Continuous Improvement, Without Exception

Amanda's approach to sustainability follows the same Kaizen thinking that guides our manufacturing: not a single grand gesture, but steady, documented improvement across sourcing, materials, energy use, safety, training and workplace practice.

We ask ourselves each year — and throughout the year — how we can do better. The answer changes as our operations, technology and responsibilities evolve. That is exactly the point.

For the brands Amanda works with, this means a manufacturing partner whose responsibility commitments are supported by policy, reporting, independent review where applicable and a culture of continuous improvement. Compliance is the foundation. Progress is the goal.

"Sustainability is not a separate department at Amanda. It is the standard we hold in the workshop, the sourcing room, and the boardroom — every day."

— KLAUS STENZHORN, CHAIRMAN & FOUNDER

The Four Pillars

What We Are Accountable For

Amanda's ESG framework is built around four areas where the choices a manufacturer makes have direct, measurable consequences — for clients, for the people who do the work, and for the world the jewellery eventually enters.

01

Material Sourcing

Amanda applies responsible sourcing controls to the metals and stones entering its production. Single Mine Origin (SMO) gold is available for clients seeking enhanced traceability from mine through refining and manufacturing. Diamonds are sourced through Kimberley Process-compliant channels, supported by supplier due diligence and internal screening. Responsible sourcing is treated as a working discipline, not a marketing claim.

02

Harmful Metals Safety

Amanda applies strict controls to the metal alloys used in production. Our jewellery is nickel-safe and cadmium-free, compliant with applicable EU Nickel Directive and cadmium restriction requirements. Palladium-based white gold options are available for clients seeking high-quality nickel-free white gold. These controls help protect the people who make the jewellery and safeguard the end consumer, a standard Amanda applies regardless of destination market.

03

Environmental Stewardship

Amanda is reducing its environmental footprint through its planned transition to solar energy, closed-loop water filtration in production, polishing and plating operations, and structured waste reduction and recycling. These are practical operational commitments and continuous improvements, measured and reported through Sustainability Reports, rather than broad claims.

04

Inclusion & Equality

Amanda's leadership team is majority women — CEO, factory manager, and production manager. The company is a signatory to the UN Women's Empowerment Principles. Fair wages, equal opportunity, and a workplace free of discrimination are policy commitments that are audited, not assumed.

Global Standards

Verified by the Frameworks That Matter

Guided by recognised international frameworks and supported by independent audit where applicable, Amanda's sustainability commitments are not self-declared — they are the consequence of how the business chooses to operate.

UN

UN Global Compact

Committed to the Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. Annual Communication on Progress published.

RJC

Responsible Jewellery Council

RJC member. Amanda passed an independent third-party RJC audit on 14 May 2026. The formal certificate is pending issuance. Supply chain due diligence, ethical sourcing and labour standards are subject to ongoing independent review.

WJI

Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030

Aligned with WJI 2030's three pillars: climate resilience, resource preservation, and inclusive business practice.

"Joining the UN Global Compact and WJI 2030 formalises a promise we have always held informally: to do business responsibly, and to report our progress with clarity and without reservation."

— Chadaporn Piyasiranon, CEO

Material Integrity

From the Source. Verified at Every Stage.

Metal alloys used in all Amanda production are verified using a Fischerscope XRF analysis system. This confirms elemental composition, alloy compliance, and the absence of restricted substances before any material enters production. All materials are tested for restricted substances, and our white gold options include nickel-safe and palladium-based alloys for clients requiring enhanced hypoallergenic performance and EU compliance.

All diamonds entering Amanda's facility are screened for natural origin using Dia-True diamond detection technology. Screening takes place at three stages of the production process. The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme governs all diamond purchases, and Amanda applies KPCS standards to coloured stones as well — an extension beyond the minimum required.

Safety & Wellbeing

A Safe Workplace Is Not Negotiable

Amanda operates a formal Occupational Health and Safety programme covering employees and on-site contractors. Emergency preparedness drills, including documented fire evacuation exercises involving staff and senior management, are conducted regularly. Safe chemical handling, personal protective equipment and ergonomic workstation standards are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Beyond formal compliance, Amanda's approach to wellbeing reflects a simple belief: the people who make fine jewellery deserve a workplace built with care. Health checks, skills development and fair working hours are part of how we operate, supporting the safety, dignity and long-term capability of the team.

People & Inclusion

Leadership That Reflects the Team

At Amanda, women hold key leadership roles across the company, including CEO, factory manager and production manager. This is not a diversity programme created for appearances. It is the result of a culture built over three decades, where ability, commitment and responsibility have mattered more than gender.

Amanda became a signatory to the UN Women's Empowerment Principles in 2025, formalising commitments to inclusive leadership, equal opportunity, fair treatment, supplier responsibility and community engagement. The WEPs framework is used internally as a review tool, not simply as a communications asset.

The manufacturing floor operates with consistent pay principles, transparent advancement criteria and a formal grievance mechanism available to employees confidentially and without fear of retaliation. These commitments are documented in Amanda's Human Rights Policy and Employees Grievance Mechanism, both available on the Policies page.

"At Amanda, women are leaders, innovators, and creators shaping our company every day. Becoming a WEPs signatory reflects who we are and what we stand for — respect, opportunity, and empowerment for all."

Environmental Stewardship

Reducing Our Footprint. Measurably.

Amanda's environmental commitments are operational, not aspirational. The targets below are active projects with assigned timelines — not pledges pending future decisions.

Solar Energy Transition

Target: 2026

Amanda is transitioning its Bangkok facility to rooftop solar generation, with a target completion year of 2026. The project covers manufacturing, finishing, and quality control operations.

Closed-Loop Water Filtration

In Operation

Our water filtration system allows process water to be filtered and reused within the factory, reducing overall water consumption and limiting wastewater discharge. Water that cannot be reused is treated through the filtration system and safely discharged.

Waste & Circularity

Ongoing

Process waste is captured and sorted within the factory, then directed to the appropriate recovery or recycling stream. Precious metals — including gold, platinum and silver — are refined through Amanda's sister refinery, while other recyclable materials are returned to certified recyclers.

Community Investment

Beyond the Workshop

Amanda's community engagement is long-term, practical and supported by the involvement of our employees. The company makes monthly contributions to the Duang Prateep Foundation, a Bangkok-based organisation serving underprivileged children, families and elderly people in the Klong Toey community.

In 2025, Amanda employees collectively organised and funded a donation drive to the Pattaya Orphanage during the company's annual trip — an initiative that emerged from the team itself, not from a corporate directive. The distinction matters: the culture of contribution exists independent of the company's formal CSR programme.

Amanda does not publish a catalogue of its charitable activity. What is listed here reflects commitments that have continued over multiple years.

The Commercial Case for Responsible Manufacturing

What This Means for Your Brand

Reduced Compliance Burden

Amanda's verified sourcing documentation — Kimberley Process certificates, SMO gold traceability, XRF alloy verification, and Dia-True diamond screening records — is available to support your brand's own due diligence and supply chain reporting requirements.

Verified Sourcing Documentation

Every material entering Amanda's production carries documented chain-of-custody. For brands operating in regulated markets or responding to retailer sustainability requirements, Amanda's records translate directly into your compliance evidence.

Stronger Sustainability Storytelling

SMO gold, pre-loved diamonds, RJC independent audit, UN Global Compact membership, and WJI 2030 alignment give your brand specific, verified claims to communicate — not broad commitments. The story is already built. We help you tell it.

Lower Reputational Risk

Controlled, in-house production with no undocumented subcontractors means every stage of your supply chain is traceable. The reputational risk that comes from opacity in manufacturing simply does not exist when Amanda is your partner.
